Know God – FAQs

“How do I know I’m really saved?”
Because salvation is God’s promise, not your performance or good works. You only need to believe and receive this promise by faith.

“Do I have to be perfect now?”
No. Salvation begins in a moment and repentance is the key to daily cleansing and freedom. 1 John 1:9 says if you confess your sin, God is faith and just to forgive and cleanse you. As you begin to read the Bible, you will begin to receive the truth that will transform your life by changing your heart and habits.

“What if I still struggle?”
God meets you where you are. He heals, grows, and strengthens you one step at a time. Don’t let the struggle discourage you. Instead let it remind you you of your need for God. The more you cling to Him and His truth, the stronger you will become in your daily battles.

“Can God really forgive my past?”
Yes. We don’t have the power, intellect or ability to be perfect. Because of this Father God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world so that we could be forgiven of the spiritual debt and weight of every wrong deed or sin. When we receieve Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are fully forgiven and He will help us to forgive ourselves and others.

“What does following Jesus look like?”
Daily relationship with Him, reading the Bible daily, daily prayer and community with His people, and intentionally living a life shaped by His Word, the Bible and the conviction of the Holy Spirit.
